Rescue SCUBA diver

Once you are a certified scuba diver, you can expand your diving knowledge with a NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver course. Learn how to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies, how to assist and transport divers, and how to perform surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat and shore based skin and scuba divers. Included is the CPR Health Care Provider with First Aid + Oxygen Administration course. This is a compulsory requirement of this course.

Your Rescue Scuba Diver certification is a critical step in your pathway to becoming a NAUI Leader should you plan to pursue additional certifications like Skin Diving Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Divemaster, or Instructor in the future.

All participants must be in good health and be previously certified as a NAUI Scuba Diver or equivalent. This course is open to both HHUC members and the general public. The minimum age required to attend this course is 18.

Participants must be members in good standing of the Ontario Underwater Council (OUC). OUC memberships cost an additional $40.00 and may be obtained at the start of the course if needed.
